Puerto Gallera '07
Last June 10 and 11 of '07 we went to Puerto Gallera, for me and my friend's (Dave) birthday celebration. Of course, those days were special since we celebrated our birthday there, my friends (barkada) made it more special by bringing cupcakes all over from Manila to surprise us and lit a birthday candle on it for both of us, our joy was evident with the photo on your left.
Just the other month, April '07, we also paid a visit to one of the tropical islands in the Philippines, Boracay (yes, it's beach again, 2 beaches in less than 2 months). You can hardly distinguish Puerto Gallera (PG) from Boracay in the photo (not as I was expecting, last time we went there year '05 at PG, I saw floating human excrement *puke*). The color of the sand and water is close to that of Boracay, except that Boracay has finer white sand. You can find lesser seaweeds and corals in PG compared to Boracay, or you barely even notice. PG has plenty of sea urchins though :-S But I enjoyed climbing and jumping off the big rock on the part where you can find the cave (and sea urchins, hehe) in Puerto Gallera.
Both are good places to visit, just remember to bring your friends. In the end, it's still your company that completes your stay in your vacation paradise, may you rest in peace ;)
